Sensors & Encoders

Industrial sensing, detection and feedback components, including proximity sensors, photoelectric sensors and encoders.

Detection and feedback

Identify the sensing function and output.

A sensor’s shape does not tell the whole story. Include its full part number and note the sensing method, supply voltage, output type and connection style where known.

For encoder requests, share the shaft or mounting arrangement, resolution and electrical interface. A label photo and any connector details can help distinguish similar-looking versions.

Component requests

  • Inductive and capacitive proximity sensors
  • Photoelectric and fibre-optic sensing components
  • Rotary and linear encoders
  • Specified position and measurement devices
  • Sensor amplifiers and associated interfaces
  • Sensor cables, connectors and mounting accessories

Tell us about the operating environment.

Temperature, moisture, washdown, material and enclosure requirements can affect the specification. For equipment used in a safety-related function, identify the exact safety requirements rather than assuming an ordinary sensor is suitable.

Confirm the selected component against the equipment and manufacturer’s documentation before ordering. Include any required accessory separately in your parts list.
